About the startups

OpSeeker is the first financial coach that uses Behavioral Economics and AI in order to prepare young individuals to have money for a lifetime. The problem is clear: if we do not start investing for the long-term our society will experience a social and economic crisis as it has never seen before. Millennials can be the first generation with a worse life than their parents if we do not start changing their mentality in regards to money management. OpSeeker serves as an auto-correct for the brain, it works on those cognitive errors and emotional biases that we all have in order to prevent us to make the mistakes that we are wired to make due to our human nature. This way we can have a way better financial life without much effort!

Behind the startup scene: AI for Robotics & AI-enhanced UX. Powered by EY!

Come and find out from 2 founders what it takes to build an AI-based startup. RSVP here to save your front row place on 6.09, starting 18:30!

About the event

Serban will share his industry learning as the founder of Eyeware, a Swiss tech startup. His presentation will include a discussion of what it means to be in “deep tech”, the current trends in Robotics and AI, how to find and work with corporate partners, and what to be careful about in the early stages of developing your AI product.

Ciprian will talk about what they’re doing at MorphL, explore some examples of AI-enhanced products and think of how you could apply some of this stuff to improve your product’s UX.

When it comes to data, we tend to think in dichotomies: quantitative vs qualitative, objective and subjective, messy and curated, science and story. Using data for product development does not have to be an either/or; instead, it should be YES, and… Organizations have started developing metrics that go beyond the default off-the-shelf analytics provider. Rather than relying on single signals — say the number of pageviews or the number of clicks to determine conversion — the trend is now toward using AI/ML that draw insights from multiple signals or event streams.

About the speakers

Serban Mogos is a Romanian tech and social entrepreneur with over 10 years of international experience in IT and startups. Co-founder & COO at Eyeware, Serban is responsible for strategy, fundraising, and product. He is also the founder of two Romanian NGOs for entrepreneurship education – Akcees and Startmeup Romania, and is in the advisory board of Romanian IT. Serban has a Ph.D. in Strategy & Entrepreneurship from Carnegie Mellon University and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Sheffield.

Ciprian Borodescu is the CEO at MorphL.io – an open-source platform that uses machine learning to predict user behaviors in mobile & web applications. He’s also the Co-founder & CEO at Appticles.com – a multi-channel mobile publishing platform with a focus on building progress web applications. Since 2015 he’s involved with the local dev community as the organizer at BucharestJS – a JavaScript developer group in Bucharest/Romania which grew to one of the biggest in the region with over 3,000 members. In 2016, he founded and co-organized JSHacks – a series of JavaScript Hackathons happening at the same time in different cities across EU.

If the opportunity is real, we prefer to be the first institutional investor in such startups.
