Series A Academy vol. Bucharest

LAUNCHub is coming in Bucharest with its series of different topics related to the fundraising process. RSVP here, and let’s meet on Friday, February 21st, starting at 5 PM.

About the Event

Series A Academy started internally as a bi-weekly series intended to prepare LAUNCHub Ventures portfolio companies for a Series better A fundraising.

This idea has been growing for a while now, and they still have some knowledge and insights to share with the community on raising Series A funding round.

There is no better way than to learn directly from the founders who have raised the A round and to have the opportunity to talk to the investors who have done this for many years. Therefore, for the Series A Academy vol Bucharest the superheroes guests are:

  • Sergiu Negut, co-founder of FintechOS (Series A funded startup)
  • Dan Lupu, partner at Earlybird VC (Series A Investor)

The discussion will be moderated by Mircea Vadan, from Activize.Tech and Rumen Iliev, partner at LAUNCHub Ventures, will be there to fill in the Seed investor perspective where needed.

Event Agenda

17:00 – Registration

17:30 – Activize – Ecosystem Overview – Mircea Vadan

17:45 – Friendly panel discussion on raising a Series A (Sergiu Negut, Dan Lupu, Rumen Iliev)

18:30 – More time for Q&A from the audience

18:50 – Closing and networking.

Crypto-trading

Join this Blockchain Romania meetup, to see what’s the role of trading in the crypto ecosystem. RSVP here to save your front row spot on December 4, starting at 18:30!

About the event

Trading is a perennial hot topic in crypto. Even since the first Bitcoin trade (10000 BTC for 2 pizza) people have been trying to figure out the market mechanisms that are behind any particular coin price. For this edition of our meetup, we’ll try to figure out
– what are the particularities or similarities between crypto markets and other “traditional” currencies and/or commodities?
– are there instruments (such as Technical Analysis) that can give insights into why prices are behaving in a particular way?
– is there anything that affects price except supply and demand?
– are the current price setting environments (i.e. exchanges) transparent enough in order to make the available tools efficient or are there nefarious activities that affect the said prices?

About the speakers

Armi Goldman – trader, behavioral and intelligence business consultant

Sergiu Draganus – founder of several cryptos (and non-crypto related businesses): CryptoCoin.PRO, GeoRanker, Swiss Crypto Exchange ( SRO/VQF regulated Swiss-based cryptocurrency exchange) and co-organizer of Romania Blockchain Summit
