The number of people communicating via chat interfaces is astonishing: Whatsapp boasted that they had 1.2 billion monthly active users as of January 2017, and as of July 2016, Facebook Messenger had 1 billion monthly active users worldwide.

Following this trend, companies are turning to chatbots to reach customers using something that feels very natural to them: conversation.

Chatbots are on the verge of becoming the single most important interface, reshaping the way we communicate – welcome to the party.

Andra Bria is a product and service designer with a background in the creative industry, working with both established brands and startups and advising them on how to communicate and innovate.

Catalin Pintilie (technical lead for FIFA 18 Switch) and Nestor Forjan (line producer for FIFA 18 Switch) will share their experience with designing and developing the FIFA 18 game for the Nintendo Switch.

This presentation will be technical and design overview of FIFA 18 on the Nintendo Switch detailing the vision, choices and challenges EA Romania and EA Vancouver encountered when developing the game for a brand new platform. It will cover the things the team wished they had known before they started and the solutions they found to build a game that feels at home in the hardware.

Raluca Radu is the Country Manager of ANSWEAR.ro and the Co-Organiser of GPeC. With an extensive experience of over 12 years in digital strategies for online business and online marketing, Raluca is deeply involved in the education and growth of e-commerce in Romania, offering feedback and helping online startups grow. During her career, Raluca was responsible for the launch of the online classifieds leader OLX.ro on the Romanian market and the for the successful growth of team forming of other online projects, while she was Country Manager for Naspers Romania.

 

Silvia Stegaru is co-founder at Codette and an embedded software engineer at NXP Semiconductors. She has over 10 years experience in volunteering, from creating training materials to leading teams organizing different events. She is an active member of the tech community and her activity has been rewarded with numerous awards, such as the Google Anita Borg Scholarship (renamed as Women Techmakers) and Forbes 30 under 30 Romania. Recently, she has become an alumni for the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) from the U.S.
