About the event

Google’s latest innovation for mobile, web, and desktop apps. Flutter is Google’s UI toolkit for building beautiful, natively compiled applications for mobile, web, and desktop from a single codebase.

You are going to be immersed in the world of Flutter with a short presentation about it. And because we know you love to get your hands dirty by coding, you will walk through 2 codelabs with our trainer. He is going to show you how fast you can build apps that give you full native performance on both iOS and Android.

The event is organized by Developer Student Club Politehnica University of Bucharest, a program presented by Google Developers. DSCs bridge the gap between Theory and Practical Application for student developers.

About the speakers

Alexandru Pascu is a 2nd-year student in Computer Science and Engineering at Politehnica University of Bucharest, passionate about entrepreneurship and technologies. He is the Lead of your local DSC chapter.

David Ivan is enrolled in a master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence University of Bucharest. He is a Mobile App Developer with a passion for well-architected applications, which have recently discovered his passion for Computer Vision.

GDG Garage – Build your product

About the event

GDG Garage Series of Meetups is about working on side projects that you always wanted to do or finding real projects that provide a good opportunity for learning. Starting March 5th the GDG community will meet once every three weeks in a hands-on atmosphere with the goal to launch new apps on the market (hopefully by June/July TBD).

This first meetup is about defining projects and teams, gather some early feedback. As things progress we will focus more on design, development, testing, marketing, post-release strategies. Each meetup will have an area dedicated for quick informal presentations or desktop sharing and an area for the teams to work.

The projects should be mostly related to Android (Mobile) or Google Assistant (chatbots, conversational interfaces) to make the most out of the community’s experience.

This is your chance to:
– get help to build the project you’ve been thinking of
– exchange practical knowledge with experienced developers
– be part of an active network of product builders

Mihai-Alexandru Oprea is a Cloud Engineer at CrowdStrike. He works as a Cloud Engineer at Crowdstrike. He has over 3 years of experience in Go with a focus on Big Data and analytics. In his spare time, Mihai enjoys biking and ML.

Radu Viorel Cosnita is the Chief Software Architect at Omnibit. Focusing on new and innovative products and building new Software Development teams. I aim to gain more know-how in bleeding edge technologies and new programming languages.

Bledea Georgescu Adrian is a Software Engineer. After being a full stack web developer, now is focusing on Go and Cloud technologies, searching for the next challenge to solve.

About the event

You may be familiar with Firebase as a realtime database in the Cloud, but it’s much, much more. In this session, Joe will show you how Firebase can be used to improve your live app’s quality, manage feature rollouts, perform A/B tests, send notifications, and more.

Jon Mensing is a Product Manager at Google who focuses on messaging and testing features within Firebase. His past experience includes work at BuzzFeed and Zynga. Jon has an MBA from Wharton, a Master of Public Policy degree from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a B.S. in Computer Science from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
