  • 19:00 – 20:00 Ana-Maria Mihalceanu – Kubernetes and the 12 factors cloud applications

The 12-factor app methodology represents a best practice when comes to cloud application development and for the past years, many developers employ it in order to facilitate both their current and future work. Kubernetes, with its cloud-agnostic container deployments, complements the 12 factors apps with their flavors across frameworks and cloud providers. This presentation is intended for all those curious on how to manipulate their code and Kubernetes as well in its use as a developer but also as operational. Each of the principles will be illustrated by a demo.

Ana-Maria is a custom application development enthusiast, co-founder of Bucharest Software Craftsmanship Community and a constant adopter of challenging technical scenarios. In 2016, as tech passionate about cloud application development she achieved IBM Certified Application Developer – Cloud Platform v1. Since then, she has enriched her cloud expertise by learning and certifying as a Salesforce Developer and attained a better understanding of how to integrate different types of cloud offerings. Other passions? The knowledge hunt through reading and growing fashion skills through shopping.

Join the first GDG Garage session to start building Google related products with other members of the community. RSVP here to save your spot on March 5, starting 18:30!

About the event

GDG Garage Series of Meetups is about working on side projects that you always wanted to do or finding real projects that provide a good opportunity for learning. Starting March 5th the GDG community will meet once every three weeks in a hands-on atmosphere with the goal to launch new apps on the market (hopefully by June/July TBD).

This first meetup is about defining projects and teams, gather some early feedback. As things progress we will focus more on design, development, testing, marketing, post-release strategies. Each meetup will have an area dedicated for quick informal presentations or desktop sharing and an area for the teams to work.

The projects should be mostly related to Android (Mobile) or Google Assistant (chatbots, conversational interfaces) to make the most out of the community’s experience.

This is your chance to:
– get help to build the project you’ve been thinking of
– exchange practical knowledge with experienced developers
– be part of an active network of product builders
