About the event

The Product Tank community is bringing the SVP of Product Tradeshift and VP of Product for 2Checkout for a fireside chat to ask them about the challenges they face, how they grew in this position, and what lessons learnt they can share. The discussion will be moderated George Dita and we will have plenty of time to ask them questions from the audience.

Thijs Stalenhoef is the SVP of Product for Tradeshift, Inc. He is a veteran in both B2C and B2B, with over 20 years of experience in Product and Engineering Management. Prior to Tradeshift he worked for Apple in California, on computer vision projects and the photo and camera ecosystem. Before this he worked for various startups and established companies in both the consumer and the enterprise space, in 5 different countries.

Adriana Iordan is the VP of Product for 2Checkout. She has extensive knowledge with e-payments and e-commerce and. She has experienced Avangate going through two acquisitions and latest a rebranding and expansion into new consumer segments. Adriana leads a team of 10 product manager and analysts.

About the event

We will start the evening by looking back at the vision around RPA from when it first appeared, where we are now and what the future will hold. The discussion will also cover the democratization tendencies in RPA technology, the marketplace potential and what are the opportunities for someone that wants to join in the industry. Boris is the Chief Robotics Officer at UiPath for over a year now. Having a technical background and a vast experience with corporate products, Boris holds a clear vision of how RPA can be implemented in day to day problems.

Ana is the Customer & Partner Global Lead at UiPath. She knows the ins and outs of expanding a product globally and can give you an overview of where the RPA market opportunities are heading.

Razvan is the Performance Improvement Senior Manager at EY Romania. He is an RPA Evangelist and has more than ten years experience in banking, insurance, telecommunication and power & utilities.

How the digital economy is shaping the future. The story of UBER – Fireside chat with Pierre-Dimitri Gore-Coty, Head of EMEA at Uber

On Tuesday, 31 October, we invite you to an insightful discussion on the digital economy and scaling your startup. Our special guest is Pierre-Dimitri Gore-Coty, the Head of EMEA at Uber, who will share best practices in a fireside chat moderated by Cristian Botan, President of The Coalition for the Digital Economy. Fueling Uber’s growth in Europe since 2012, Pierre has experienced first hand what it takes to scale a successful global business and will share with you the lessons he learned along the way. RSVP here and save your front row seat!

About the speaker

Pierre heads Uber’s operations across Europe, Middle East and Africa overseeing the company’s growing business across 45 countries and over 120 cities. Spending some years at Goldman Sachs, becoming an entrepreneur at the age 27 and harnessing a big urge to build something, Pierre joined Uber’s first international city as General Manager for France in 2012. As one of the earliest members of the team and with a conviction of the need to offer better transport options, he mass-scaled Uber’s service across Europe before taking the challenge to the wider region.

Pierre first developed his passion for numbers during school, coding and building websites with friends, after which he further developed his skills at the Ecole Centrale de Paris before heading to New York to study Financial Engineering at Columbia University.

He is a French citizen based in Amsterdam and married since this year.

Uber’s mission is to make transportation as reliable as running water — everywhere, for everyone.  We started in 2009 to solve a simple problem – how do you get a ride at the touch of a button? Six years and over a billion trips later, we’ve started tackling an even greater challenge: reducing congestion and pollution in our cities by getting more people into fewer cars.

Cristian Botan, President of The Coalition for Digital Economy

Botan is a digital entrepreneur and activist for transparency in public administration, with 5 years experience working as an advisor for the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Romania, during three different cabinets. His appointment within the Government was a result of his initiative to publish all public administration vacancies in an unique online portal (PublicJob.ro), in order to bring about transparency and combat favoritism and nepotism in the public sector. As of September 2017, he is the President of the Coalition for Digital Economy.

The Coalition for Digital Economy

The Coalition for Digital Economy was established in 2017 with the purpose of bringing together stakeholders who support digital innovation and believe in its positive impact, both for citizens and for states as a whole. The Coalition aims to be a catalyst of the digitization of the Romanian economy and to advocate for forward looking policies and programs that encourage digital services, for a more competitive Romania.
