Pandora’s last look – Storytelling innovation for the modern age
The legend of Pandora’s box is understood by many as the story of how evil was released into the world; but few people remember that Pandora opened the box a second time to release Hope into the world as well.
For as long as mankind has existed, there have been stories. Stories are part of who we were, who we are, and most importantly who we aspire to be.
The hidden power of stories was once only known by humble storytellers, but in recent years this power has been let loose.
Through mainstream media and social media, businesses and marketing, science and politics – everyone has a story to tell.
A tale well told creates new possibilities, but does the emerging and innovative use of this ancient art form enable greater misery or greater hope to be unleashed upon the world?
Come and peer into Pandora’s box and discover how the responsible use of storytelling can be applied to achieve positive change; addressing social, environmental and economic issues.
Part 1: Symposium – An exploration of applied storytelling for positive change. (6pm to 7pm)
Part 2: Entertainment – Swansea Storytelling presents its monthly offer of tales great and small with Special Guest teller Tamar Eluned Williams – Young Storyteller of the Year 2013 and winner of the Gwobr Esyllt Harker Award (relaxed and informal – 7.30pm to 9.30pm)
Everyone welcome 🙂
