Lunchtime workshop: Building hardware
June 19 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm UTC+0
Thanks to the Maker Movement, building hardware is starting to gain the recognition it deserves. However there is still a large gap between building an electronic prototype and building hardware to be mass-produced. This talk aims to outline the process of getting from a sketch all the way through to a production-ready electronic design (alongside some of the mistakes often made along the way).
Angus has a Masters degree in Cybernetics and has spent over 15 years in industries as diverse as Oil & Gas and music technology to defence and consumer electronics. He led a hardware team in Dyson’s robotics group and designed the electronics in the Seaboard, an award-winning musical instrument. He recently founded CircuitBuilder, a new company to simplify the process of creating custom electronics.
