LONDON A-Z: FROM AGEISM TO ZEBRAS – NAVIGATING OPPORTUNITIES AND PITFALLS OF THE LONGEVITY MARKET
May 21 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm BST
We’ve teamed up with AGING2.0 for an evening of great insight and discussion starting with a talk from leading Ageism activist Ashton Applewhite (A) and ending with an all star panel focused on how we can see more age-tech “Zebras” (Z) also known as businesses following a more sustainable, collaborative and purpose-led approach – the socially orientated version of a Unicorn!
We are proud to be hosting this one off event in partnership with AGING2.0 with Ashton Applewhite, acclaimed activist and journalist, and an expert on ageing and ageism. Ashton has spoken publicly on the subject worldwide; her TED Talk from April 2017 has been viewed 1.4m times, and she spoke at the UN in New York in 2016. She also writes the blog Yo, Is This Ageist? and has written for, amongst others, Harper’s, The Guardian, and the New York Times.
Following the keynote talk from Ashton, we will deep dive in the world of age-tech and hear from a selected panel of start ups, investors and government specialists on the opportunities, challenges and realities of tech scene in the UK.
