Walking the Tightrope: Overcoming Common Startup Challenges

Join us for our first Founders Lunch of 2018, where we will be welcoming entrepreneur and innovator Dr Raminderpal Singh who will be talking with our founders about overcoming common startup challenges.
Tech startups face many challenges today – examples include closing early deals with enterprise clients, demonstrating true market disruption, and displacing adjacent competition. Dr Singh has been working on these challenges for over two decades in both the US and the UK (in small and large companies), and is a mentor at Startupbootcamp and Health Foundry
Key goals for the meeting are
1) learning about your challenges and
2) sharing specific insights on how you can succeed and grow rapidly, under tight cost constraints.
Dr Raminderpal Singh is a seasoned business development and sales executive, with extensive experience in small and large companies in both the UK and the US. His passions include supporting successful innovation and business growth in early tech ventures. Dr Singh earned his PhD in the semiconductor industry in 1997. Over the next decade, he led teams building advanced semiconductor technologies and data mining for semiconductor manufacturing at IBM. In 2003, he was selected by EETimes as one of the top 13 most influential people in the semiconductor industry. In 2007, Dr Singh transitioned to business development at IBM Research, where he initiated, negotiated, and closed several complex collaboration deals. In 2012, Dr Singh took over as the business development executive for IBM Research’s genomics program, where he developed and led the go-to-market for the IBM Watson Genomics Analytics program. Dr Singh is currently Vice President and Head of the Microbiome Division at Eagle Genomics, rapidly accelerating the adoption of new data science technologies in the life sciences industry.
