TechHub London opens in Ropemaker Street
New location reflects maturity and growth of London’s tech startup scene
With investment in the UK tech sector hitting record levels this year, TechHub, the leading community for tech entrepreneurs, has today announced it will be opening the doors of a new London location – aptly named TechHub London – on 22nd June. The latest TechHub, which will be at 20 Ropemaker Street, quickly follows the launch of TechHub Boston, boosting TechHub’s rapid global growth as it approaches its milestone fifth birthday.
Home to up to 400 TechHub members, TechHub London allows members to be closer to the City, while remaining connected to TechHub Shoreditch and TechHub @Campus. TechHub London will provide members a smart setting in which to meet with corporate clients and enterprise-focused venture capitalists.
This new addition to the global TechHub network joins TechHub Shoreditch and TechHub @ Campus serving tech entrepreneurs building out their teams. Together the three London locations reflect the increasing maturity of London’s tech scene and provide flexible options to access the wide range of opportunities that TechHub membership provides to help businesses scale up.. The three London sites provide maximum value membership options for tech startups at every stage of their development.
Andrew Tibbitts, global COO, TechHub explains, “London is full of tech innovation and there’s a lot of it happening at TechHub. While TechHub provides a community in which members can collaborate, network and help each other during the early stages of their business, we also work with the growing number of tech startups in London rapidly scaling their companies. UK startups are attracting investment like never before and with its close proximity to the City, and excellent opportunities to help them grow, we’re expecting to see our members use TechHub London to succeed even further in raising funding rounds, attracting the very best talent and successfully bringing products to market.”
TechHub London members will be able to collaborate with other members across the globe, providing them with an international network to help them develop faster. “With the newly launched sites in Europe and the US, and last year, in India, we’re providing tech entrepreneurs with a community environment with connections at their fingertips. Our purpose-built facilities in the world’s largest startup ecosystems enables businesses to think globally from the start,” concludes Tibbitts.
Notes The new location is the first TechHub in London to offer all three types of membership, from Team Members, who are part of a large team, to Resident Members in groups of one to four people, and Flex Members who drop in and out of TechHub when they need.
With over 1000 members across the globe and many nationalities in London alone, TechHub is the largest international startup network of its kind. TechHub provides a unique environment where tech entrepreneurs learn, develop faster and prosper through collaboration with peers, a wide range of events and connections with key business institutions and experts.
TechHub was founded in London in 2010 by serial entrepreneur Elizabeth Varley and Mike Butcher of TechCrunch Europe. Now TechHub members have access to a global startup community in seven tech cities: Bangalore, Bucharest, Boston, London, Madrid, Riga and Swansea. TechHub connects tech startups to the people that matter; whether that’s investors, lawyers and politicians, or other startup ecosystems around the world. From product testing labs to networking events, TechHubTuesday Demo Nights and advice sessions on anything from recruitment to investment options, TechHub provides access to everything required in starting up or scaling up a successful tech business in today’s fast-growing global tech economy.
