TechHubFriday Demo Night tonight!

By Elizabeth Varley
TechHubFriday Demo Night is sold out tonight, and we can't wait to see what goodies these talented entrepreneurs have in store for us. Tonight, you'll be watching demos from...

wireWAX
wireWAX is a world first clickable video tool for creating intuitive, interactive hotspots. You can add information, images, links and dynamic applications to people and objects... allowing viewers to enter competitons, watch video-in-video, load live data, buy now... all without leaving the video. EMI, Virgin Records, Momentum Pictures and Hearst Digital have all been early pioneers with successful wireWAX based campaigns and proven measurable value to both audience and creator. wireWAX comes as an embeddable player, or a simple plug-in to leading video platforms, such as Brightcove.

Datasift
DataSift is a platform enabling the filtering of social streams in real-time. Built using the experience from developing TweetMeme, it allows users and developers to curate streams of content from social networks such as Twitter, then consume that filtered content for use in their own applications or through others such as Seesmic Desktop.

Fastrades
Fastrades helps you buy, sell and swap using Twitter.
The problem that we want to solve with www.fastrades.com is the frustration often experienced when buying and selling online – the frustration of multiple log-ons, of taking so long to list items for sale, the frustration of waiting for an auction to end and the frustration of being out-bid at the last minute. That led us to think that there must be a faster way to trade using the power of the trusted Twitter network – there wasn’t so we built it. It can be thought of as a new way to post small ad’s and is done in three easy steps

Brand Regard
“Who’s got the high resolution version of the logo?” – this question is being asked in almost every organisation that has a brand to convey, promote and protect. Brand related digital assets are often scattered over various computers, FTP drives or DVDs and when a company grows and prospers, it becomes difficult to make sure that the message its brand should convey stays consistent. Brand Regard solves this problem by giving the right people access to the right digital assets at the right time with an enterprise strength solution that’s as easy to use as Amazon and as cost effective as Salesforce.com.

Geomium
Description: Geomium allows users to connect with friends, meet new
people and check out all of the hottest bars, restaurants and events
in a local area, all in real time. It even shows all the money-off
deals, discounts and offers. Geomium is here to help you no matter
where you are!

ShoutEm
You need your social network to be simple and easy to use for your users?
You want it in real-time, optimized for mobile and location-based?
With ShoutEm you can create and run all kinds of networks for different purposes. And by selecting the set of features that best suits your needs, you can make sure that the look and feel suits your audience.

OVIA
Hire better talent faster by sending and receiving recorded video interviews. Invite: create a set of relevant video questions, then invite candidates to take the interview. Record: candidates record unrehearsed answers to your questions using their webcam. View: view interview responses with your team at your convenience.

Cloudmade iPhone Maps SDK

CloudMade's iPhone SDK gives developers the tools they need to create, publish and monetize location based iPhone apps that will delight and amaze users.  The best bit -  the SDK, services and support are all free.  Developers get access to a ton of services, like the "Style Editor" - a web app that lets you create a custom map style that perfectly matches the design, branding and use case of their map based apps.  The toolkit puts powerful location services like driving and walking directions and local search at the fingertips of iPhone developers.  But it gets even better - a pioneering new location based advertising service will let location aware app developers earn money from premium location based ads inside their apps

Update: Free co-working til end of August, #TechHubFriday Movie Night & our 100 mbps connection!

By Elizabeth Varley
I'm completely jealous of everyone who's sunning themselves on holiday this month, and so many TechHub members are away at the moment that we've decided to extend our free co-working offer until Friday 27th August.

Want to give TechHub a try for free? Drop Charlie a line at charlie[at]techhub.com letting us know the day you're coming in and then come along. Test out our hefty brand spanking new 100 mbps fibre data line as I'm very pleased to announce it's all in and up and running! Big fat data FTW!

We also have our second #TechHubFriday Movie Night coming up this week. We'll all be practicing our best accents for everyone's favourite line: 'My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to Die.' in readiness to enjoy the fabulously silly Princess Bride from 5pm this Friday.

So kick off the weekend early, meet some other tech peeps and finish your Friday in style @TechHub. Register now.

Lastly, we're in the process of planning out our events programme starting in September, so if you'd like to give us your opinions on event styles and subjects you like, those you don't and any ideas you have or lists of people you'd really love to hear from, please tell us!
