Introducing... Ed Saperia, TechHub Investor Relations
By Edward SaperiaHey you guys!
TechHub has hired me to figure out how our community can best interact with that mysterious beast, the potential investor - and you’ll be pleased to know this initiative is the result of considerable demand on their part...
Over the next couple of months I’ll be going through TechHub’s little black book interviewing them for their investment preferences, while simultanously talking to you lot and learning about all your projects to help find the perfect match. I’m hoping we’ll soon discover that a few months’ hard work on our part can save you literally hours of networking and help both investors and entrepreneurs to find what they're looking for more effectively!
When not nattering with you guys, I’m inventing software for chatting more efficiently, as well as balancing a handful of other ventures; with any luck, next year I’ll be getting a book published, selling a screenplay, producing a toy, organising a 1000 person conference, beginning a fine art career, and releasing an album. Fail often, right?
I have quite a varied experience... I spent many years doing event planning and promotion in London, even running my own nightclub at one point, I’ve been in various slightly questionable bands, and - deep breath - I spent four years designing exotic financial products for a major investment bank. But please don’t hold it against me!
Come and say hi (in person or online) or add me on Facebook or LinkedIn if you prefer).
Ed
Introducing... Victoria Redfern, TechHub Events Assistant
By Victoria Redfern
Hi everyone!
My name is Victoria and I will be around & about at TechHub, assisting Liam with putting on the wonderful events that take place here! You'll be able to catch me on a Wednesday & Thursday each week and I also help out at evening events, too.
I'm currently studying for my final year of my Music Business degree at The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, having spent my first year of study up north in Manchester. My degree is very entrepreneurial-focused, which as you can imagine in these changing times for the music industry aligns itself very well with the tech community, too. My studies have allowed for me to gain a lot of valuable experience within the events field whilst also keeping me aware of new technology. I believe that working at TechHub will complement my studies and aspirations greatly - there is so much to learn from being immersed in an environment as great as this.
Before entering full time education as a 'mature student', I spent a number of years working as a PA and becoming involved with event organisation and administration. I originally hail from Leicestershire in the East Midlands, which I believe classes me as a 'Northerner' down in these parts!
In my spare time I like to read up on my favourite blogs, attend gigs, listen to lots of music and indulge in my favourite activity of making lots and lots of cupcakes! Please do not hestitate to come and say hello or give me a shout if you require any details for any of the future events taking place at TechHub!
Meet TechHub's Events Manager, Liam Moore
By Miguel Garcia
As an experienced producer/production manager he has a well-earned reputation for a creative and dedicated approach to getting stuff done.
As a recent addition to the TechHub fold, this last year has seen him dividing his time between studying for an MA in Coaching and Mentoring Practice at Oxford Brookes University and working on two very distinct but equally ambitious events: Social Media Week and MusicConnex.
Liam previously managed BBC music and spoken word content for BBC Worldwide collaborating with and/or delivering to artist management, record labels, BBC production teams, and clients in traditional and digital media.
Liam is rapidly immersing himself at TechHub in order to help it continue to be the place to come for start-ups and entrepreneurs in London.
Meet TechHub's Office Manager Superstar, Michelle Nhan
By Miguel Garcia
My name is Michelle Nhan and I'm a Reception Host/Office Manager at Techhub.
I'm a professional Nagger (more commonly translated as 'Office Manager' to the general population), and I come from a background of recruitment companies - one company of nine people and the other an international company with more than 2000 employees. So TechHub is a pleasant departure from both.
Personally, I take pride in my organisation and work ethic. My biggest achievement to date has been managing from start to finish a 'maiden' event for 120 guests, having had no experience, and also production of the event's website, when dropped in head first five weeks before the event date.
I see TechHub as a huge opportunity to grow with a company and to develop my own person. The environment here has been more than welcoming - my role has been just four weeks so far but I feel like I have been here for months already - and I'm excited to see where this takes me and how I can add to TechHub!
TechHub's Social Media and Communications Inquisitor, Miguel Garcia
By Miguel Garcia

Hello TechHub Community,
My name is Miguel Garcia and I'm working on communications and social media here at TechHub. I’m originally from Texas but much of my family is from Mexico.
I have been here for a little over a month but already feel very welcomed at TechHub. Y’all been great!
I’m currently doing a master in international relations and
integrating the power of social media technologies in my studies.
You can read more about my research on my
blog.
Before this I completed a bachelor in political science and
worked in a few government agencies in San Antonio, Texas and
Washington D.C. In D.C I had the awesome opportunity to intern
within the National Archives and White House, as a correspondent
assistant where I had the opportunity to rummage through
President Obama's mail.
I have always strived to bring a great aptitude and attitude in all my work. Additionally, I love working with people and involving myself in unconventional projects to improve society. Here at TechHub I have learned a lot about the tech and startup industry. My hope is to keep contributing to and augmenting the TechHub community whether here or around the world.
I truly believe in the power of technology in changing lives and finding the right individuals who believe the same thing and are working on similar projects.
If you ever need any help or have suggestions for TechHub
feel free to email me: miguel@techhub.com
If I haven’t already I hope to meet you soon!
