We're very excited to have the fabulous Alex on board as the first TechHub intern. He's helping us with all kinds of things from to furniture research to blogging, so you'll be hearing more from him right here.

Here's a bit more about Alex...

"Nut (me) Shell

My name is Alex Good, at the moment I'm a third year student of theoretical physics at Queen Mary University London. As an academic pursuit physics is very satisfying, but the technological applications of science have always been more interesting in real life than the hard slog of trying to answer questions about the universe, by which I mean doing maths.

So, I've been building an iphone application with a friend, I've learnt a bunch of programming languages (mostly to satisfy curiosity, but they come in handy now and again) and I spend far too much time playing with new web technologies on my phone or laptop, which runs kubuntu at the moment, if anyone's interested.

TechHub is an opportunity for me to find out if I want to work, or start a business in web technology, its also a project which I think (from my vicarious, outside perspective) London needs and which I am excited to be involved in.

Right now I'm finding information about some of the smaller details of setting up TechHub, such as what coffee machine can service 150 people with the right coffee at the right price."

It looks like we'll probably take on at least one other intern, so if you're keen, check out the details and get in touch. If you've already applied and we haven't emailed you yet, don't worry, we have your details and will be in touch soon.
